Job Summary:
The Meetings & Events (M&E) Manager is responsible for driving sales strategies to maximise the utilisation and revenue of our meetings and events facilities across Shenzhen portfolio. This role focuses on proactive outreach, client engagement, relationship building, and marketing activities.
You will manage the entire sales process, from initial enquiries to facility tours to preparing quotations, and closing deals. Regular analysis of market trends, refining sales strategies, and implementation of effective marketing initiatives are required to achieve and exceed financial targets whilst maintaining overall responsibility for meeting budget objectives.
Additionally, you will foster strong relationships with clients and business stakeholders to promote our facilities and identify new business opportunities. Collaborate closely with the Engagement Team, you will ensure that clients' events are executed flawlessly, maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities:
Sales Management
- Sell Meetings & Events facilities by handling initial enquiries, conducting facility tours, preparing quotations, making follow-up calls, closing sales, and preparing agreements
- Engage in daily sales calls with a disciplined approach to drive new business opportunities
- Consistently acquire new clients and meet sales targets to drive revenue growth
- Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and trends
- Implement sales and marketing initiatives that are recommended by your reporting line managers & SR HO Team initiatives, ensuring effective positioning of services, pricing, promotions, and brand image
- Actively represent TEC in industry events, networking groups, leveraging social media channels to enhance lead generation and brand awareness, as a TEC ambassador
- Ensure flawless execution of client events by coordinating details and working closely with the Engagement Team for set up according to client requirements
- Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of objectives
- Prepare forecasting and budget reports, along with regular sales reports and market feedback for management regarding pricing and competitive positioning
- Identify new business opportunities and explore additional sales channels to expand market outreach
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
- Foster a culture of upselling to enhance client service delivery and maintain high client retention and satisfaction rates
- Establish strategic relationships with legal consulting firms, chambers, government bodies, public relations, and other relevant parties
- Collaborate with the Engagement Team by coordinating details to ensure an exceptional client experience, from initial engagement to execution
Inventory and Database Management
- Frequently keep the client relationship management (CRM) system up to date for accurate sales figures, data, and account records
- Manage databases for M&E clients (both previous and existing), competitors, and building tenants
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales roles
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Prior experience in MICE or coworking or serviced office industry is an advantage
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue growth objectives
- In-depth knowledge of Shenzhen's corporate and event management landscape, including key industry players, market trends, and competitive dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and seizing new opportunities
